Dirty Harry

When I was in 6th grade, I fell in love with American films,
that my grandmother introduced me to and became a big fan of Clint Eastwood.
Dirty Harry is especially cool.
I idolized Harry aiming his Magnum 44 at the villain getting away in the car,
while chewing on his hot dog, at the beginning of the movie.

I think it was in an Interview for a movie magazine, where I read that Clint Eastwood loved beer.
There was a photo of him with a glass of beer wearing a T-shirt with the Budweiser logo mark printed on it.
For some reason I still remember that photo very clearly and
I think that it was somehow closely linked to me becoming a beer aficionado.

Budweiser is the beer that comes from the USA…
That’s about the extent of my knowledge on beer,
so I was surprised when I drank these two beers from the UAS the other day.
It might be pretty rude to say to people from the USA,
but I never know there was beer this good in the UAS!!

■ HIGH WATER HOP RIOT IPA
It is full bodied and has a bite!!
It’s bitter, astringent and very aggressive.
This beer gives off a very youthful impression.
Also, the special glass with the wide rims is probably a must-have item to fully appreciate this beer.

■ PIKE IPA
This one has a rounder taste and is less bitter…
I think it’s above all, a beer that has a great overall balance.
Of course, this was also a very tasty beer!!
To be honest, on this day, the above mentioned HIGH WATER IPA left such a strong impression on me,
that it almost wiped out the taste of the PIKE IPA.
